Christmas shopping trends in Italy
Christmas is near and, as is now well known, many people use technology for Christmas shopping.
We want to analyze with you aninfographic made by Google, which during November 2015, conducted research to investigate the main queries of online shopping in Italy and the behavior of users on the Internet.
The result was that Italians mainly searched for: clothing, accessories, technology, often using a smartphone to find inspiration.
What does this mean?
- That browsing is increasingly mobile.
- That even if you buy in-store, you surf the web to look for ideas, read opinions, compare features and prices.
An interesting perspective
Another parameter we find interesting is this 55%: that is, the % of online shoppers who made purchases on international ecommerce.
An audience already sensitive to e-commerce, who opted to purchase in foreign markets because they found better services or offers.
One would think, that by improving customer service, logistics, warehousing, that 55 percent is an audience that could be easily transferred to Italian ecommerce.
