Many companies are beginning to sell their products on Amazon. This large marketplace is growing over the years.
More companies are now entering the electronic marketplace. It is important to seize the opportunity to be visible on one or more national marketplaces.

The 10 steps of selling on Amazon

Neikos Web Agency staff can help the company with all the steps necessary to start selling on Amazon.

The 10 steps for a company that wants to sell its products on the Amazon platform are as follows:

  1. Start registration and define the sales plan best suited to each seller’s needs
    If the seller estimates making fewer than 40 sales per month, it is convenient to choose the Basic Account. If you plan to exceed 40 sales per month, it is preferable to adopt the Pro Account.
  2. Choose whether to sell in one or more marketplaces on the platform.
    The marketplaces present are: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, UK;
  3. Enter all information related to the company, such as: type, place and date of founding, business registration number, VAT number, telephone number, ID of the owner/managing director, bank account;
  4. Enter your company in one or more specific product categories
    Product categories range from clothing to food, gardening to electronics, and many others.
    Each seller has a web interface called “Seller Central,” where he or she can view and manage inventory, shipping flow, and more;
  5. Create product inventory using the web interface.
    It is important to complete all product sheets with all useful user information.
    The main data are: product name, category, description, price to apply, expiration date, additional information, and product images.
  6. Deciding how to sell products. One can choose to manage inventory independently or through Amazon.
    If you choose Amazon logistics, you must convert the products to “Managed by Amazon.” It works by sending the inventory to the nearest Amazon logistics center, where the products are safely stored.
    Once the user purchases, the products are packed and shipped to their destination. At this stage, you are required to enter the quantities to be sent.
  7. Start the service of labeling and packaging individual products
    If you decide to package the products yourself, the preparation should be done carefully so that the product is visible.
    If the company decides to perform the labeling service, it must print the necessary labels and paste them over the bar code of each individual product.
    The labeling process can be carried out either before or during the shipping stream.
  8. Click on “Submit and replenish inventory” where the product summary is provided.
    You need to perform the parcel labeling service. This should be done before inventory products are sent to Amazon’s logistics center.
    The total weight of the package should be given.
  9. Complete the shipping flow, choosing the type of courier you want to use.
    In the interface, the nearest logistics center to which products are sent appears.
  10. Markthe shipment.
    You mark the shipment when the courier has picked up the package.

    In the “Seller Central” web interface, one can check the shipped inventory, shipment and its progress.
