Solution
Branding and visual identity for Illiquidx
The first objective assigned to us was to identify for IlliquidX, through a website, branding, lettering and identifying colors, its own visual language and ensure its recognizability and affirmation.
Starting precisely with the naming “IlliquidX,” which derives from Illiquid exchange, Neikos Digital Agency thus aimed to create a brand name that would already recall the product’s own distinctive features in its graphics and color elements.
A brand that has the following characteristics:
- Internationality;
- originality;
- readability.
IlliquidX now employs a team revolving around 14 to 16 professionals.
Web Design
The graphic redesign of the site, comes after three years of steady growth and major milestones, reaching during 2011, a trading volume of more than $1 billion (Lehman creditor claims).
For the public portion of the site, our client’s need was to find a solution that would emphasize working style, speed of communication, clarity, trust, and attention to detail. All this, adopting a graphic scheme that would succeed in consolidating the strength of the brand.
The redesign of IlliquidX involved many resources and invested many aspects of the graphics and technologies used. For the frontend, Neikos Digital Agency favored layouts and colors that help the user navigate the site and make the content usable in a simple and clear manner.
A further redesign was released in 2018.

Sales, Traders and CRM
The Illiquidx team operates a web-based system that offers exclusive access to its clients. The platform developed by Neikos, is used by registered users, to acquire information, buy, sell or request quotes related to defaulted securities and financial assets that cannot be liquidated quickly. Through simple and intuitive tools and interfaces, customers can:
- Manage their own space where they update their portfolio;
- organize, track, and monitor individual assets or multiple listings.
- send orders, requests for quotes, or signal their interest in a particular position.
Instead, traders, organized into groups of traders, relationship managers, analysts and administrators, can:
- Publish and manage securities;
- Exchange data and documents;
- Assigning and keeping track of tasks to be done.
Through CRM, Illiquidx operators manage their customer portfolios: from the information sheet of a particular company to all contacts related to it; from organizing and scheduling activities to managing inquiries from their customers. The team of sales and traders operators finally manages and completes transactions anonymously and confidentially.
On behalf of clients, in fact, traders, through the platform and each for his or her own expertise, manage orders, interests and quotations. For their clients they take assignments, exchange prices and all kinds of information related to listings.
Technologies
For both the frontend and backoffice parts used by Illiquidx clients,full-custom solutions were adopted. Ad hoc modules were also created for the CRM used by traders to manage assets with their ISINs and requests for orders, quotes and interest.
For the layouts and styles of the platform used by clients, HTML and the Bootstrap CSS Framework were adopted. Server-side PHP is the main language on which the platform is based; it connects to and prints data from CRM via SOAP APIs. Utilities and JavaScript Libraries such as jQuery, Lodash, and Axios were used for animations and asynchronous AJAX client-side requests.
