Carmelo Imbriani, who died prematurely at the age of 37, was a Serie A player for Napoli and, after playing for several clubs around Italy, became coach of Benevento Calcio from 2011. <\/span><\/p>\n

The memory of his goal against Inter Milan at the San Paolo stadium when he was only 18 years old still lingers with Napoli fans.
\n<\/span>The photo of his jubilation for that goal has now become the icon of the <\/span>
\nImbriani Don’t Give Up<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carmelo dreamed of a different kind of soccer, one that could unite people and break down cultural and social barriers. A kick, unfortunately, still too far away today.
\n<\/span>The thing that probably filled him with the most pride in all his years of career was when he read from the hospital that opposing fans had united in the same message for him: <\/span>
\nImbriani Don’t Give Up<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is precisely this message that has today become the name of the initiative promoted by Gianpaolo Imbriani, Carmelo’s brother who, after his passing, decided to make his story known on five continents, and keep his values and teachings alive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imbriani Don’t give up<\/em> in the world<\/h2>\n

Gianpaolo’s journey starts in the hamlet of San Giovanni di Ceppaloni, in the province of Benevento, where he and Carmelo were born, and continues to every corner of the Earth: from Australia to Cape North, from Bosnia to Montevideo.
\nAccompanying him is the memory of his brother and his jubilant image, extrapolated from the photo of one of his most famous goals.
\nThe image is without colors or flags, as an icon of the greatness of sports, which transcends geographical boundaries and skin color.<\/p>\n

But Imbriani Non Mollare<\/em> is also a story of friendship: Carmelo’s values of justice and fairness also go around the world thanks to many people who, having known his story, carry his image with them and show it in all their travels.<\/p>\n

Cycling around the United States<\/h3>\n

In 2018, the Imbriani Don’t Give Up<\/em> initiative is enriched with a new piece.
\nFrom a meeting with the green start-up Mechane<\/em> by Alessandro Cerrone and Stefano Calegato, Gianpaolo’s new challenge was born: to cross the United States on a special bicycle.<\/p>\n

A 15-thousand-kilometer-long journey, starting in Miami, passing through Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, all the way to Chicago, Toronto, and finally New York.
\nThe goal of the project is to raise funds to donate to the construction of soccer schools in the poorest areas of the Planet, to bring less fortunate children closer to sports and perhaps allow them a better life.
\nAll in the name of Carmelo.<\/p>\n

The Ermes<\/em> bike, an acronym for Ecological Revolution Maximum Energy Saving, is a sporty, double-armored bike with refined styling, an aluminum frame covered with wood panels, quality components and an electric kit with a 250-watt motor.
\nVarious logos sponsoring this project, including the Neikos logo, are displayed on the wooden structure.<\/p>\n
